Pre-School Assistant / One-One support worker needed for 1 school year starting September 2008 – July 2009, to be reviewed spring 2009.

Monday & Wednesday P.M (total 6 hrs) to work as pre-school assistant.
Tuesday, Thursday & Friday A.M (total 9 hrs) to work as one – one support.
Weekly staff/ planning meeting (3hrs)

To support the pre-school manager in providing high quality care and education of children attending the pre-school through:

• Participating in curriculum planning sessions
• Key working children allocated to you by the pre-school manager
• Listening to,encouraging,stimulating and supporting the children during each session
• Undertaking activities as allocated during pre-school sessions.

You will also be required to attend any relevant training specific to the role available.

Level 2 or above in pre-school practice is required.

A Knowledge of British Sign Language is an advantage but not essential as training is available.
